Dr. Henrik Rasmussen is a behavioural ecologist turned wildlife tech engineer. Henrik has worked for the past 20 years on animal tracking and identification, holding a D.Phil. in animal behavior from Oxford University. After finishing his D.Phil. on male elephant reproductive tactics, he spent two years as Postdoc researcher at University of Copenhagen, Denmark but became progressive more involved with adapting and developing novel technology to assist in wildlife conservation and anti-poaching. In 2008 Henrik started Savannah Tracking Ltd. a Kenyan based company focused on providing affordable customized animal tracking systems for research and wildlife management. His company Savannah Tracking is in collaboration with Resolve currently developing LionShield, a human-wildlife conflict mitigation system. Henrik is currently working on setting up a Canadian branch of Savannah Tracking based in Bella Coola, B.C.
