As Director of Corporate Partnerships, Laura works with a number of visionary partners including National Geographic, Parks Project and Stio outdoor apparel to raise awareness for American Prairie Reserve. Laura also works with Strauss Meats and leads our beef brand—Wild Sky—which helps support wildlife-friendly ranching. A key plank of American Prairie Reserve’s mission is providing economic benefit to our neighbors and building a local constituency for conservation. Wild Sky is doing just that by incentivizing nearby ranches to implement wildlife-friendly practices.
Laura is also a research fellow at PERC and a former fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. She has published several books including Environmental Entrepreneurship: Markets Meet the Environment in Unexpected Places. Laura holds an M.S. in Public Policy and a B.S. in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Utah State University. Any spare time she can find is spent rock climbing and fly-fishing. Additionally, she serves on the Temple Fork Outfitters Advisory Board.
